And now, back to the challenge; a card from the first set you tried to complete
1985 Topps was the first set I tried to complete. I bought and opened a lot of packs that year. At some point I realized I had an awful lot of them and got the idea to see if I could get them all. Perhaps it was the checklists that lured me in? I had a couple of friends with whom I regularly traded, and for the first time found myself trading for cards of players that I had no interest in or even greatly disliked. That wasn't very fun! So the next year I started buying complete sets from the start. I never did get the whole 1985 set completed that way. But a little later in life I did buy the set complete, leaving me with all those doubles.
